Overview

3DMedia's patent-pending technology applies to a wide variety of 3D imaging applications. We plan to license it to the relevant markets to create products that spawn new and unique market segments in terms of visual experience and consumer engagement.

3DMedia is developing licensable 3D display products based on its 3D creation technology. These products include a 3D Digital Picture Frame (DPF) and a 3D Media Player for viewing 3D content on HDTVs. We have a reference design for a 3D DPF that does not require special eyewear for 3D viewing. This design will be licensed to DPF makers as well as camera makers and cellphone service providers for creating display products that are complementary to their camera devices. We also have a reference design for a 3D Media Player that can generate 3D content and display it on 3D-capable HDTVs. The media player can be an embedded or external 3D device, or the software can run on the TV's processor. The software and media player design will be licensed to HDTV makers. 3DMedia's display products also have applications in several niche markets, including advertising, digital signage, education, and medical. 3DMedia can provide the technology and display hardware for creating cost effective 3D signs, 3D educational displays, and 3D medical imaging systems. Our 3D creation software can also be integrated into PC- and web-based applications to generate content for 3D-capable monitors.

3DMedia's 3D capture software will be licensed to camera/camcorder makers and will assist users in taking good stereoscopic pictures that can later be used to create 3D images using the 3D creation software that runs on other platforms. Camera phones with 3D LCD displays provide a unique opportunity for our technology, as they can be used to create a complete 3D capture and display system. 3DMedia's 3D capture and 3D creation software will be licensed to cellphone makers and will allow users to take 3D pictures, view them instantly on their 3D LCD screens, and send them to friends.
